Sr. SDE, Measurement, Ad Tech, and Data Science (MADS)
Amazon
Description
Are you passionate about Big Data and Distributed systems? Do you enjoy building new state-of-the-art products at internet scale? Come lead the innovation in ads measurement. This is a green field problem without a known answer or a pattern to follow.
What you’ll do
You will lead the design, launch, own and evolve software that computes impact of Amazon ads, working closely with other engineering teams and our top notch team of scientists. Thousands of advertisers will use your work every day to decide where to invest next, and need to know what was the impact of their ad spend. You’ll evolve systems that produce a correct and actionable estimate, and give us confidence it is right. These are really hard questions that are unique to Amazon, so there isn't a blueprint you can copy. You'll build petabyte-scale scale measurement pipelines, as well as advance supporting services and frameworks. You will have background delivering highly distributed systems at scale, design patterns like SDKs, libraries, versioning, use AWS services like EMR, DynamoDB and S3 open source technologies such as Spark. You'll get feedback from principal and sr engineers, as well as help junior engineers grow.
What we do
We enable advertisers to optimize ad spend and allocate budgets effectively by providing accurate, actionable and timely conversion measurement for all Amazon ad products, and for ads delivered by third parties. We use a combination of deterministic and machine learning-based techniques to produce the estimates that are fastest in the industry without compromising quality. We constantly invent on our cutting-edge event-driven architectures to stay ahead of growing scale.
What we offer
We are a company of builders who bring varying backgrounds, ideas, and points of view to inventing on behalf of our customers. Our diverse perspectives come from many sources including gender, race, age, national origin, sexual orientation, culture, education, and professional and life experience.
