Job Description Summary

Position Objective:

The Sr. ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for the configuration and acceptable customization of the Sunbelt Rentals platform.  The developer will assist in requirements gathering, innovative designs, configuring and customizing (when necessary) the ServiceNow platform to support Sunbelt Rentals internal and external workflows.  The ideal candidate is a seasoned ServiceNow Developer who can work closely with the ServiceNow administrators, process owners and other technology teams to implement a stable and performant baseline platform.  The ServiceNow Developer will also need a strong ability to multi-task between growth projects, maintenance projects, and assist in resolving current open issues.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development and integration of the Sunbelt platform with external partners to drive operational automation and efficiencyLead the development of business process integrations into our ServiceNow instance, including ITBM, GRC, HR Delivery, CSM, and ITSMLead the coordination, design, and execution of integrating standard LDAP & 3rd party apps into the ServiceNow environment.Implement scripted web services in ServiceNow, jQuery, or Prototype libraries, Java, and CMDB or asset integrations in ServiceNowCustomize workflows, code business rules and UI Scripts using JavaScript to create custom applications and configurations on the ServiceNow platformDevelop scripts and codes for API’s and webservice integrationsConfigure roles, permissions, business rules, and UI policies for ServiceNowComplete functional/technical designs and associated estimates to meet defined requirementsLead development in an Agile methodologyWork with administrators and process owners to solution business process workflows using the baseline ServiceNow configurationsAssist with ServiceNow resources on patching, hotfixes, platform upgrades, platform testing related to new and existing platform capabilities/functionalityAssist with standard daily, weekly, monthly maintenance, and overall system health checksAssist with routine set updates within the system for all changes madeMaintain design documentation (requirements, design documents, build, deployment, install guides) and process standards along with regular audits to validate accuracyStay up to date with the latest releases and product enhancementsPresent new product developments to key stakeholders

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and 5+ years work experienceServiceNow Developer certificationITIL v3 certification highly preferredAbility to develop/configure and enhance core applications including, but not limited to, platform UIs, service portal, mobile app, tables, forms, lists, catalogs, workflows, roles, properties, business rules, ACLs, dashboards, homepages, and reportsStrong ability to design, build and deliver workflows and service catalog itemsStrong understanding of CSDM and CMDB, including integrating, importing data using asset discovery toolsAdvanced understanding of the use of development, test, and production environmentsExpert in update set creation and system cloningSkilled in developing custom end-user Service Portals through the internal design processKnowledgeable of customizing email notification templates, SLA definitions, and form fieldsExperience in Agile/Scrum development cycle environments

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job.  Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.  All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $100,896.00 - 138,732.00
