As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing secure, end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles in cloud environments. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to design and implement containerization solutions using Kubernetes or Docker. Your contributions will have real-world impacts, from improving software resilience to enhancing global communications and security operations in space.Key Responsibilities:Work across multiple technology stacks, gaining hands-on experience with various languages, frameworks, and tools to support a broad range of applications.Work in languages such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, and GoLang, among other languages to deliver industry standard application functionality.Work with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Mongo DB, Oracle, MySQL, and others.Design, develop, and implement secure, end-to-end Kubernetes or Docker-based cluster and application lifecycles.Participate in software development using CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on security and automation. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to architect containerized solutions and cloud-native applications.Apply GitOps principles for automated and reliable deployment processes.Implement DevSecOps best practices, ensuring security is integrated at every stage of the development lifecycle.Ensure effective log management and use analytics tools for system monitoring and optimization.Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to automate security checks, deployment processes, and routine DevOps taskLeverage AWS cloud services and other cloud platforms to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security.Contribute to the development of secure network configurations and cloud-based security architecture.Maintain strong familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.Assist in implementing Service Mesh solutions (e.g., Istio) to support secure and efficient service-to-service communications.Collaborate with teams using version control systems like GitLab, and work with automation tools like Ansible, Maven, and Gradle.Stay current with cloud technologies, industry best practices, and evolving security threats to recommend innovative solutions.Maintain infrastructure using IaC/CaCWork with anchor developer to lead development processesWork Environment: On-site support may be required at military installations or secure facilities. May involve working on highly sensitive and classified projects, requiring adherence to strict security protocols. Qualifications:Required:5-8 years experience developing web based applications5-8 years’ experience with Kubernetes or DockerDevelop and implement end-to-end cluster and application lifecyclesExperience working in AWS and cloud technologiesExpert working with Agile, Agile XP, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologiesExpert with HTML, JavaScript, Vue.Js, Angular and or ReactExperience with scripting languages Python, Bash, PowershellNetworking experienceExperience or knowledge of Service-Mesh, such as IstioExperience working with version control systems like GitlabExperience in software systems development using CI/CD pipelinesStrong problem-solving skillsPassionate about automation, system efficiency, and securityExperience with Log Management and Analytics toolsProficient in tools like AWS Cloud Services, Gitlab, Ansible, Maven, GradleExperience with Unit/Integration TestingExperience with Test Driven DevelopmentFamiliarity with Infrastructure as CodeDesired: Strong statistical and data analysis skills to identify trends in user dataExperience with Data Visualization tools PowerBI, Tableau, PythonExperience with SpringbootExperience with writing custom Helm ChartsExperience with Big DataExperience in Database development like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDBBasic Compensations:Salary 140 -165KThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Additional Compensation:KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
