Sr. Software Developer
TEKsystems is hiring for Software Developer – Sr Lead, to support our client's mission in Ft. Gregg Adams, VA. Requirements: - Full stack software developer capable of working independently or in a team leader to capacity to design, develop, and maintain software for a variety of engineering applications. - Work with analysts to understand their analytic or interface requirements. - Experience and fluency with .NET web application lifecycle and middleware. - Experience working in a Agile environment as a part of a Scrum Team is desirable. Education: - BS Degree. Advanced degree is desirable in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline and 5 years of relevant experience is required Certifications: - Technical Level: IAT-II (Security+) Qualifications: - Capable of working independently to design, develop, and maintain software for a variety of engineering applications. - Work with analysts to understand their analytic or interface requirements. - Minimum of five years combined experience with: .NET, C#, Web Services, SQL Server 2017 or newer (Backend Development), N Tier Development in Windows Environment, XML, and PKI Infrastructure. - Demonstrated experience in Web API design, development and security. - Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts to include CI/CD pipelines. - Desired experience in Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Service (SSRS) and/or Power BI, Team - Foundation Server (TFS), Jira and Gitlab. Experience in Agile Methodology is a plus. - Prior experience in federal government IT and/or contracting is desirable. Clearance: - Secret Security Clearance Required Purpose of the Role: We are looking for a dedicated professional to support the Army Food Information Management System (AFMIS), an older system with two main parts: Transaction Website: Uses Visual Basic/Visual Studio. Data Warehouse: Built with C# and SQL Server, including an Azure services database for reporting. What We're Looking For: - **Someone to handle SQL needs for the data warehouse.** - A team player to work with the AFMIS website team. - Experience with Power BI is a plus, but not required. - Ability to help transition to cloud-based solutions in Azure (PaaS). - Familiarity with version control tools, moving from TFS to GitLab. - Willingness to adapt to agile/scrum methodologies. THIS POSITION IS ONE (1) DAY ON SITE WEEKLY. NO EXCEPTIONS. MUST BE WILLING AND ABLE TO COMMUTE TO FORT GREGG-ADAMS WEEKLY! Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
