Senior Software Engineer
We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with 6 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS SQL Node.js AngularJS Java JavaScript and MySQL. This role requires domain experience in Payer and offers a hybrid work model with day shifts. The candidate will contribute to impactful projects that drive our company mission forward.
Location: Woonsocket - RI

Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using AWS SQL Node.js AngularJS Java JavaScript and MySQL.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient software systems.
· Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications through rigorous testing and debugging.
· Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster a collaborative learning environment.
· Implement best practices in software development to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
· Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
· Utilize domain expertise in Payer to develop software that aligns with industry standards and regulations.
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team remains at the forefront of innovation.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for software systems and processes.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure the smooth operation of software applications.
· Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.
Qualifications:
· Possess a strong understanding of AWS SQL Node.js AngularJS Java JavaScript and MySQL.
· Demonstrate domain expertise in Payer with a deep understanding of industry standards and regulations.
· Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
· Show proficiency in software development best practices including code reviews and testing.
· Have experience working in a hybrid work model and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.
· Display strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
· Be committed to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
