Job Description
Senior Software Engineer researches, designs, and develops software features for hosted systems and is primarily centered around mid-tier business logic and back-end data management in a .NET and MS SQL Server stack. Candidate will work with an established team of .NET and front-end developers to enhance our existing platform(this will not be the case for us. We are hiring a brand new full stack team, there is no existing front end team that will be persisted), create new platforms, and help drive continued development. The Engineer will see opportunities to work with cross-functional and cross-geographic team members.
Critical Job Duties:
Develop creative, functional, maintainable, applications and componentsWrite high quality, re-usable code following industry best practicesProvide development estimates for enhancement requestsPerform design/code reviews and help maintain code quality, performance, and application responsivenessTest programs to ensure quality and expected results before deployment into production environmentsInvestigate and resolve bugs and/or deficiencies in project codebasesWork on projects of moderate to advanced complexityKeep skills up-to-date with current and future software technologies through continued education and self-learning to ensure maximum functionality and efficiencyCollaborate both in the team and cross-functionally, and contribute in group decision-makingJob Qualifications:
The successful candidate is a proven engineer with strong SQL and .NET skills and knowledge. Candidate should be experienced in designing, sizing, and developing both new features and adjustments to existing features while consistently hitting deadlines successfully. Qualified candidates should have extensive experience in object-oriented design/development, problem solving, complex solution debugging, and work independently with little supervision. The candidate has a desire to grow their own skills while at the same time mentoring junior staff members.
Job Qualifications6-8 Years of .NET/ASP.NET development experience using C# (ASP.NET Web API, .NET Core)Development within Microsoft environments using Microsoft Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C#, and web applications.Proficient understanding of MS SQL Server databases, T-SQL, and MS Entity Framework and/or PostgresFamiliarity or working experience with object-oriented designHave a strong understanding of data modeling concepts (are nice to have)Broad understanding of design patternsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and with teamStrong skills in problem-solving and debuggingExperience scaling and optimizing applications for performance and using source control systemsProficient with various technologies, such as HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Angular, Web API, .NET Core, Web Services, IIS Administration, are nice to havePrior experience working on large-scale websites and back-end services in an agile development environment is also a bonus
