Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement highly scalable and reliable server software systems and APIs. The ideal candidate will be an expert on our platform systems and familiar with integrations supporting our business. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring high code quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement highly scalable and reliable server software systems and APIs.Be an expert on all platform systems and familiar with integrations supporting the business.Communicate with all stakeholders, striving to understand their requirements in context and explaining solutions in a way they understand.Investigate and resolve complex production issues.Provide on-call support as required.Develop and support continuous integration/deployment capabilities.Optimize server-side application performance, availability, and scalability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and technical roadmaps.Participate in code reviews and ensure high code quality standards.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.Stay updated with the latest software technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in server/cloud software development (Python, Ruby on Rails, Node.js).Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.Experience with web services, APIs (REST, gRPC), and microservices architecture.Proficient with relational and NoSQL databases.Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker).Familiarity with automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Git and Gitlab for version control.Solid foundation in computer science.Ability to wear multiple hats and adapt to different roles as needed.Good personality and ability to work well with others.Work Environment
This position is based in Cary, NC, and operates on a hybrid model. The role involves working on 3D body scanning mobile software used for custom sizing and physical fitness training. The work environment emphasizes collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement. You will be part of the engineering department, working with the latest technologies and frameworks to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
