What you'll do Docusign is seeking a Front End Engineer to enhance the Common User Experiences for Navigator. Our goal is to revolutionize our UX while accommodating our growing user base. You will work on an agile team to create elegant, simple user interactions for complex workflows using modern web frameworks like React and TypeScript, focusing on accessibility, performance, and instrumentation. As a Front End Engineer on the team, you will help shape our company's future. Your contributions will enable us to scale rapidly while maintaining high efficiency and quality standards. You will use your technical expertise to make critical decisions, build robust systems, and deliver products that empower our platform users and internal teams. This is an individual contributor role reporting to a Principal Software Engineer. Responsibility Learn and adopt best practices for responsiveness, performance, and accessibility Write and ship modular, secure, and scalable code Ensure design and architecture is extensible across multiple projects and conduct technical design reviews Contribute to and drive a culture of building scalable and highly available systems Test your code at all levels and ensure its quality before shipping Raise issues and opportunities for improvement early and often Demonstrate a strong focus on instrumenting features being developed Partner with product managers, designers, and peer engineers Work as part of a passionate, agile development team to deliver engaging web user experiences Participate in live site reviews Demonstrate a strong focus on instrumenting features being developed to gain insights into usage patterns and feature success Focus on code quality by identifying test cases and devising efficient, scalable testing processes Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to continuously increase the team's productivity and efficiency Stay ahead of the latest development standard methodologies and share your findings with the team Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic 8+ years of relevant experience BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 8+ years of industry experience writing client-side Javascript TypeScript Experience building responsive layouts with modern JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React Experience with frontend testing frameworks, Jest and Playwright Experience with API design and implementation Experience with Git, continuous integration, and deployment tools Preferred Self-motivated and comfortable operating across the stack in a dynamic environment with a strong sense of ownership Takes a user-focused approach, shipping incrementally with rapid iterations Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with the team and other cross-functional teams across the company Passion for UI Good sense of usability and design Experience with consuming and building RESTful web services, React, TypeScript, GraphQL Experience working with cross-browser behaviors and quirks Experience with using telemetry to gain insights into usage patterns and feature success Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations: California: $151,800.00 - $245,150.00 base salary This role is also eligible for the following: Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance. Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
