Sr. Software Engineer
Description We are in search of an experienced Sr. Software Engineer to become part of our dynamic team. This position is based in Wayne, Pennsylvania, and falls within the Marketing/PR industry. The chosen candidate will be tasked with various responsibilities, including the development of complex software components, the modernization of existing codebases, and collaboration with other engineers. Responsibilities: • Actively engage in the design, research, and development of intricate software elements. • Advocate for the use of coding standard procedures and practices within the team. • Undertake the modernization and refactoring of existing .NET Web Form based codebase. • Develop unit tests for complex algorithms to ensure the quality of code. • Collaborate effectively with fellow engineers within the technology organization. • Provide high-level project estimates. • Attend and contribute to functional requirements review meetings with Product Owners. • Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members. • Encourage the team to consider long-term code quality and maintainability. • Actively participate in meeting sprint commitments. • Attend cross-functional meetings. • Proactively communicate project status and deliverables to key stakeholders in a timely manner. Requirements • Proficiency in Atlassian Jira for project management and tracking. • Strong experience in Backend Development, demonstrating a solid understanding of server-side programming. • Ability to create and implement effective Business Logic to drive key functionalities of software applications. • Skilled in Client Side Scripting, with an emphasis on improving user interface and experience. • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure. • Experience with AB Testing, with the aim to improve software performance and user experience. • Proven track record in Agile Scrum methodology, demonstrating the ability to work in fast-paced, iterative development cycles. • Advanced knowledge of Ajax for creating asynchronous web applications. • Experience in API Development, including RESTful and SOAP APIs. • Proficiency in ASP.NET for developing robust and secure web applications.
