This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except for Alaska, North Dakota, or South Dakota. Employees located within 50 miles of a BHN office will be considered a "Hybrid" employee and are required to come into the office 2 days per week based on office schedule. 

Overview:

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding the architecture and software design of an Identity Provider (IDP) environment, aimed at supporting and enhancing the experience for the broader developer community within BHN. This role requires expertise in designing scalable and secure solutions that meet the diverse needs of developers while ensuring optimal performance, security, and ease of integration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define the technical strategy and ensure the IDP environment aligns with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Responsibilities: Perform all phases of software engineering including design, development, testing, and deployment in an Agile software development environmentDesign and develop new features using various languages, we primarily use Python and JavaScriptCollaborate with other teams and conduct new technology research for product development and recommend product enhancementsActively participate in code reviews, analyze results and choose the best solutionManage deadlines and prioritize tasksContinuously focus on improving the software quality and performanceParticipate in Information Security analysis and remediationTroubleshoot customer issues and communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholdersMentor and inspire others and drive for resultsOnboard new scrum team membersWork with product owners to define features and clarify requirementsProvide timely advice and solutions including estimations. Communicate tradeoffs including hidden problemsAble to lead the team to come up with leading edge solutions with a can-do attitude Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, Master’s preferredA full stack developer with 4+ years hands‑on professional experience with object oriented and functional software engineering such as Python or JavaExperience working in AWS environmentExperience working with containers and orchestrationExpert level at designing and building REST servicesSolid understanding of Microservice architecturesComfortable with relational database design and SQLExperience working with web user interface technologiesExperience with Scrum framework, SM certification is a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to learn new coding languages and develop creativelyProfessional experiencing in building and deploying a scalable web appsSolid understanding of securing coding practice such as OWASP Benefits:

Salary Range for all U.S. Residents (excluding Alaska, California, North Dakota, South Dakota): $89,620.00 to $121,000.00

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $115,800.00 to $156,340.00
