Sr. Software Engineer

The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for projects and production support for our healthcare applications and works with the IT Applications team to develop and support Phia custom applications, integrations and report development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Research, design, and develop computer software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Confer with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance. Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design. Supervise and assign work to programmers, designers, technologists, technicians, or other

engineering or scientific personnel.

Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related plus 2 years of experience with Computer Science, Information Technology or related. Any suitable combination of experience of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Requires experience with the following: Proficient with Tableau, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular JS, ColdFusion, and Hibernate. Expertise writing semantic, modular front-end code using the following coding applications: Adobe ColdFusion, AngularJS, and Hibernate. Knowledge of responsive design practices in SDLC of both Agile and Waterfall. Expert understanding of Model, View, Controller architecture using Angular, ColdFusion technology stack. Familiarity of Tableau reporting tool and data analytics concepts. Proficient with writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Proficient with web server technology (Apache and IIS). Experience to troubleshoot data related issues and provide clear and reasonable resolutions. Skilled with the following databases SQL server, postgress, and Mongo DB). Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices, creating SQL reports in DBeaver and Tableau. Understanding of star schema for data warehouse and analyzing data using python.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

Sitting at workstation for prolong periods of time. Extensive computer work. Workstation may be exposed to overhead fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Fast paced work environment. Operates office equipment including personal computer, copiers, and fax machines.
