The Media, Entertainment, Games & Sports team is seeking for an experienced and motivated technologist with a passion for creating strategies, best practices, and solving complex business challenges focusing on the Games industry. As a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect (SA) for Games at AWS, you'll be responsible for educating customers, partners, and internal stakeholders on emerging technologies and solutions that are transforming the Games industry in areas such as game development, operations, and analytics. You get to work with startups, indie studios, legendary blockbuster publishers, technology platforms, and middleware partners in the Games industry to help them build better games with the AWS cloud. You'll provide hands-on architectural guidance for real-life customer projects involving various AWS services and Independent Software Vendor (ISV)/partner solutions and collaborate with cross-Amazon teams to develop outcome-based holistic solutions for strategic opportunities in the games industry. In this role, you'll be a content creator, a storyteller, and a presenter, building and publishing content and collateral for games customers in one-on-one and group settings. You'll work with customers remotely and in person, sharing your expertise and insights. This role requires at least 30% travel, including international travel. Key job responsibilities As a Leader, you'll anticipate future trends and identify applications of emerging technologies to enhance game development, operations, and analytics, enabling personalized gaming experiences and effective game solutions for our customers. * Drive the strategy for game solutions for customers in the games industry. * Architect and deliver innovative, customer-obsessed solutions leveraging AWS services and partner offerings tailored for the games industry. * Foster strategic partnerships with key industry players in the games industry, driving thought leadership and shaping industry trends. * Create high-quality enablement content, including guidance, blogs, demos, POCs, and presentations, to share your expertise in game solutions. * Engage with customers, partners, and industry events to inspire and educate on the transformative potential of AWS solutions for the games industry. * Deliver written and spoken communications on complex game development, operations, and analytics subjects, establishing AWS as the public cloud of choice for organizations in the games industry looking to accelerate innovation. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in technology leadership roles within large enterprise games organizations or game development studios. - 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting complex game solutions using AWS, IT/ISV, and multi-vendor environment technologies. - 5+ years experience with game development, operations, and analytics in the games industry. Preferred Qualifications - Prior hands-on experience with AWS services and solutions tailored for the games industry. - Broad experience across multiple IT domains relevant to the games industry, including Cloud Gaming, Game Engines, and Game Analytics. - Strong technical acumen to understand the customer or partner landscape in the games industry, identify opportunities, overcome technical obstacles, and ultimately influence the adoption of AWS services in conjunction with business requirements. - Strong business acumen to comprehend the games industry, customer/partner challenges, and propose solutions to address their business problems effectively. - Experience interacting with and presenting to senior leadership (e.g., CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, Senior Developers) within customer or partner organizations in the games industry, effectively communicating complex technical concepts and solutions. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market.
