Overview The GBS Divisional Senior Solutions Architect/Developer-Salesforce works with senior leadership at the local, regional, and national level to solution options from defined requirements that support the internal sales and financial goals within GBS. The GBS Divisional Senior Solutions Architect/Developer-Salesforce works as assigned to ensure that Salesforce.com (SFDC) Solutioning Architecture activities are executed accurately, completely, and on time, coordinating with all necessary parties including business unit clients, vendors and IT. He/She must possess intermediate SQL and advanced MS Excel and work collaboratively across divisions and business units. The GBS Divisional Senior Solutions Architect/Developer-Salesforce will perform hands-on technical implementation, project management, Salesforce.com administration and system evangelizing. This person will also be responsible for executing day-to-day configuration, training, maintenance, and improvement to the platform. The successful candidate will embrace the challenge of solving critical business problems and acting as the knowledge expert for evolving new processes within the company. GBS Divisional Senior Solutions Architect/Developer-Salesforce will define & create reports as needed and evaluate data to implement new reports as appropriate. He/She works to ensure data integrity across the organization, maintaining a reporting dictionary defining core measures on all Salesforce items built. He/She must also understand the importance of protecting Gallagher’s data and act in accordance with organizational priorities. How you'll make an impact List of Essential Duties Execute solutions for identified Business Process/User Story challenges. Assist in defining required features and mapping Salesforce features to business processes. Oversee the feature request backlog and work with GBS-IT Leadership to prioritize and execute. Works with internal clients to develop and document clear, testable requirements. Identifies best-practices supporting business performance relating to efficiency and improved customer service. Identifies systems and process barriers to generate ideas for improvement. Comply with AJG IT policies and procedures. Support and train team members and end-users on how to effectively use both Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. Create and maintain on-going documentation processes as technical features evolve or are added. Work directly with stakeholders, vendors, and Software Engineers to plan and implement technical solutions. About You Experience: Professional experience (7-10 years strongly preferred) in a functional role concerned with Salesforce.com Administration at an enterprise level above 1000 users preferred in EITHER Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud environments. Experience within the benefits brokerage, insurance, financial services, or similar industry is desired but not required. Possess the strong ability to absorb and evaluate information from a variety of sources and maintain a "big picture" view. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best-practices and functionality. Has a DEEP understanding of native Salesforce features and functionality, as well as the ability to model a role hierarchy, data model, and appropriate sharing mechanisms. Implementation of Custom Objects, Process Builder/FLOWS, Workflows, Formulas, and Validations Rules. Work directly with stakeholders and Software Engineers to plan and implement technical solutions (e.g., APEX, triggers, object relations, Flows, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Heroku, Aura, JavaScript, etc.). Implement enhancements and roll-out new features to the Salesforce platform. Experience with Salesforce APIs and integrations with other systems – Marketing Cloud, MS Exchange, Telephony, and Azure ETL tools. Utilize Project Management Tools, DevOps, Ant/Eclipse, and VS Code. Experience in SOAP and REST API calls, Web Services, and HTTP requests Experience with Salesforce.com Administration, configuration, automating business processes, and code review. Experience with Salesforce.com DataLoader required. Experience with writing SQL/SOQL queries. Focus on off-platform systems, integration, securing access between systems as well as managing governance and testing capabilities for deployment and ongoing Salesforce modification requirements. Advanced level with writing MS Excel 2016 or newer (using functions and macros, pivot tables) Intermediate level of understanding of relational database methodology. Intermediate level of reporting tools such as Microsoft SQL Report Services and Power BI. Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to work independently and in a team environment but remotely Effective time-management skills Ability to adapt to ever-changing system environments and understand all business applications of Salesforce, Ability to be proactive with regards to problem-solving and strong analytical skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with deadlines Must have the “heart of a teacher”, patience, and willing to share their knowledge with others.
