What you will be doing 

The Global Business Services (GBS) Team has an opening for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, who will be responsible for driving and managing highly visible and complex GBS / BPO contracting agreements for key processes outsourced. 

The position will be based in Boise, Dallas, Pleasanton, or Phoenix with the expectation of working in the office several days per week. 

 

Main responsibilities 

Lead and facilitate due diligence for business processes that are in consideration for outsourcing, whether to captive or BPO provider, including creation and alignment of financial business cases  Lead BPO pilot and longer-term contracting efforts, that require (1) significant business partnering skills across multiple stakeholder teams and (2) deep knowledge around BPO contracting best practices and benchmark market terms  Partner with internal and external counsel, GBS advisors, and opposing BPO contracting team to drive contracting efforts to successful close, under aggressive timelines  Through demonstration of deep knowledge & experience of GBS / BPO industry and key deal and term structures, negotiate and positively affect key outcomes  Stay ahead of key innovations and changes in the GBS / BPO marketplace  Support ongoing, in-depth BPO supplier performance management, partnering with key business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and BPO providers to ensure GBS / BPO performance is meeting or exceeding expectations and to partner on continuous improvement, where performance is lacking. 

The salary range is $102,700 to $143,800.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked). PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). [if applicable] Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.   

 

What we are searching for 

Bachelor’s degree in business or other quantitative major preferred.  8+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing and/or management consulting.   6+ years of in-depth GBS / BPO contracting experience  Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing ability  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Experience leveraging complex and elaborate BPO agreement structures – MSA with detailed contract supplement for each process under MSA, including demonstrated knowledge and experience with: various BPO contractual pricing models – eg fixed and variable pricing with: deadbands, ARCs, RRCs, etc, highly detailed SLA exhibits and attachments, transition and transformation plans, etc.   Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access. Ability to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems.  Working knowledge of contract law, government policies and regulations for the food and drug industry.  Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.   Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills.  High energy level, initiative, creative problem-solving ability and sense of urgency.   Excellent team interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple tasks while providing superior service.  Ability to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers at very senior levels.  Ability to lead and/or mentor coach team.  10% Travel Required, including international and domestic
