Job Description:
L3Harris Space & Sensors Division is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Finance to join its Finance team. The Sr. Specialist, Finance supports the financial management, review and estimating for operations and common inventory. This position performs analyses related to inventory demand forecasting, calculation of transfer rates, and cash flow managemnent. The role would also own reconciling the common inventory accounts by project and classificaiton – raw material, WIP and finished goods. Additional responsibilities also include supporting cost improvement intiatives such as material and labor yield improvements. The successful candidate understand the IPT environment, internal customer requirements and provides useful, timely data to assist in the reporting and decision-making process.
Essential Functions:
+ Perform analyses related to inventory demand forecasting, calculation of transfer rates, and cash flow managemnent.
+ Reconciling the common inventory accounts by project and classificaiton – raw material, WIP and finished goods.
+ Supporting cost improvement intiatives such as material and labor yield improvements.
+ Support annual inventory count prepartion, execution.
+ Partner with Program Management to manage all financial actions for their set of programs; including tracking cash flow, financial planning and analysis, and proposing corrective actions as appropriate.
+ Support month end and week soft closing activities including validating actuals, inventory, cost accumulation, transfers to-from inventory classifications and liquidatoins.
+ Provide Short-Term Forecast (STF) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) inputs to programs receiving costs from common inventory.
+ Identify and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience..
+ 2+ years of experience with Program Finance.
+ 2+ years experience with Accounting.
+ 4+ years experience with Aerospace/Defense industry.
+ Must be a United States Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
+ EVM preferred experience with Deltek Costpoint (ERP).
+ Experienced DoD programs (all services and agencies) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
+ Experience with SAP (ERP)
+ Experience collaborating with other Program Managers, Business Development Managers, Product Lines, finance, accounting, FP&A and Engineering functions.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks to completion.
+ Must have intermediate to expert level Microsoft Office skills, including 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel skills focusing on pivots, vlookups, macros and other features.
