Sr. Specialist/Specialist, Trade & Customs

THE TEAM 

The mission of the Trade & Customs Department is to facilitate the cross-border movement of goods, playing a vital role in Aritzia’s global commerce. 

 

THE OPPORTUNITY 

Aritzia is growing and our Trade & Customs team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for imports and exports across all trade channels. As the Senior Specialist, Trade & Customs, you will support the management of imports, exports, and related information, to maximize business value and ensure compliance. THE ROLE 

As the Senior Specialist, Trade & Customs, you will: 

Adhere to laws and regulations that ensure goods are imported, exported, and declared correctly 

Minimize Aritzia’s duty liability while optimizing our cash flow 

Oversee end-to-end cross-border operations, addressing and resolving issues that may arise 

Partner with internal and external stakeholders to maintain clear and consistent communication  

Manage the seamless execution of our day-to-day business and maintain data integrity by conducting data analysis and report creation 

Support the identification of Trade-related process optimizations or opportunities, considering top and bottom-line impacts 

 

THE QUALIFICATIONS  

The Senior Specialist, Trade & Customs, has: 

Proven skills, certifications, education and/or experience in: 

Trade & Customs environment or relevant industry experience  

Proven track record of operations, project management, and leadership skills 

CA CCS designation is required 

US CSS, CTCS, and CSCMP designation is an asset 

Free Trade Qualification in apparel is an asset 

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written 

A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles 

The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners 

A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business 

 

THE COMPENSATION  

The typical hiring range for this position is $24 - $48 CAD/USD per hour. The final agreed upon wage may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
