Senior SQL Developer
Location: Seaside, CA

• Current DoD Top Secret w/SSBI

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 10+ experience with Complex SQL queries, and generating reports using PL/SQL against Oracle Database
• Strong background with OLTP databases and OLAP (Data Warehouse and Data Marts) databases.
• Able to develop and test Oracle PL/SQL procedures and triggers; perform SQL tuning and re-write code as necessary; Develop and maintain functional and technical documentation.
• Exceptional ETL Design/Development knowledge
• Strong experience in analyzing complex data, and entity relationships in Oracle tables to develop processes, and oracle components to identify, document and fix data discrepancies.
• Strong scripting skills to perform data/file management (e.g. PERL, Python, Shell, etc.)
• Good understanding of Database Design and Data Modeling concepts.
• Extensive experience in Data Migrations, Data Quality and Data Maintenance.
• Knowledge of BI/Data Warehouse concepts, including star schema, aggregation processes.
• Good knowledge of Cursors, collections and Advanced PL/SQL concepts.
• Understand and interpret customer requirement and develop solutions to meet requirements
• Able to function independently with minimal oversight and direction.
• Must be able to effectively articulate complex, technical concepts to on-site clients, non-technical management and co-contractors
• Must be an effective team player

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
• Good Understanding of DoD Human Resource Management Systems. Experience in developing and maintaining systems for DoD Military Components (Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard or Marines)
• Experience working in a team which delivers a highly available environment
• Understanding of Java/J2EE technologies is a plus
• Able to liaise with developers and customers
• Understanding of Identity Management Systems and Master Data Management is a plus.
• Experience in Cognos is a plus.
• Experience in DataStage is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• May instruct and guide lower level technical professionals. Assignments are broad in nature and complex in scope.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering or computer field; 15+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development. Fully competent professional with industry certifications.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently; Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written forms; Demonstrated ability to work within deadlines and schedules; Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and workloads; Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn emerging technologies; Demonstrated ability to handle direct customer interaction professionally.
