Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Sr. Staff Analog IC Design Engineer.  The Sr. Staff Analog IC Design Engineer will be a member of a product development team to design the next-generation mixed-signal automotive ASICs for Powertrain and Power Electronic (Electrification) products.

Key Responsibilities

Help define block-level specificationsParticipate in architecture definition of complex custom mixed-mode ICsDevelop Functional/Behavioural modelsSchematic capture and simulationDevelop efficient circuit designs meeting functional and yield requirementsWork with layout designer to implement layout of circuit blocksPreparation and presentation of detailed circuit design reviewsEvaluation of samples in laboratoryDocumentationInvestigation of new circuit design architecturesTrain & Mentor less experienced engineers & assist with training of new hires (in IC)

What We’re Looking For

BS in Electrical Engineering required10+ years industry experience required; Subject Matter expert in IC; automotive IC design experience preferredProven track record of ability to perform transistor level, analog and mixed signal integrated circuit design in CMOS or BiCMOS technologiesStrong technical and verbal communication skillsAbility to be a lead designer on a complex technical IC Design teamExperience maintaining and meeting IC design schedulesKnowledge of microelectronic fundamentals & Semiconductor electronicsExperience in laboratory evaluation of analog sub-blocks as part of proto-type evaluation activitiesFamiliarity with the following tools:Cadence analog and mixed-signal design tools (Virtuoso, Spectre, etc)Analog circuit simulators (Spice, Spectre, Eldo, Customsim, etc)Linux and Windows OSBehavioural modelling languages (VerilogA, VerilogAMS, etc)Basic understanding of statistics
