What you will be doing 

You will drive continuous improvements of the security control baselines for multiple cloud deployments leveraged across all of Albertsons’ brands. You will work with leadership and cross functional teams to understand and minimize potential downstream impacts. You will look for ways to automate control remediations and drive towards a secure by default environment. Along the way, you will be a trusted voice who shares your knowledge and expertise about securing our cloud platforms and help our internal customers deliver the most secure and productive experiences for their own organizations and customers. 

 
 

The position is based out of one of our work site locations in Plano, TX, Pleasanton, CA; or Phoenix, AZ 

 

Main responsibilities 

Leads efforts with broad visibility to achieve security controls baselines for our multi/hybrid cloud environment.  Apply a risk-based approach to anticipate the need to add/update cloud security controls leveraging security expertise, partner feedback, industry trends, and other data insights.   A problem solver on unique and complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of multiple data sets that have a broad impact on the security posture  Define cloud security controls and work across organizations to drive their successful and timely implementation.  Continuously assess the baseline security control’s effectiveness.  Develop prescriptive guidance for Engineers to meet the control requirements and provide subject matter expertise in the implementation of secure cloud services.   Leverage native capabilities and/or develop scripts to facilitate compliance to the established security controls.  Identify new capabilities that will strengthen Albertsons’ security posture and work with the Portfolio InfoSec Officers to achieve capabilities through influence and sound data driven justification.  Should have conceptual thinking on Cloud Operations impact to understand advanced issues and change implications.  Develops communications/presentations for recommendations to cyber leadership  

 

 

The salary range is $ 157,900 to 205,300 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). What we are searching for  

Minimum 10 years of experience in cloud engineering, software engineering, or similar roles.  Minimum 4-5 years of experience building or managing Cloud Platforms, Products, or Services and specialization in Cloud Security controls implementation and/or operations.   Should be very well versed in understanding and manage Azure and/or GCP security controls changes and deployments.  Prior experience with securing Azure and GCP Services, App Gateways, Cloud Firewall, etc.  Experience and understanding of securing Kubernetes in a mutlicloud environment.  Ability to produce concise and quality technical documentation.  Experience with CNPP, CIEM, CSPM such as Wiz, Tenable, Prisma, Sysdig,, Sentinel One etc   Understanding of cybersecurity standards.  Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tooling.   Crafting TerraForm/Ansible infrastructure-as-code scripts.  Experience with Kubernetes deployments and Helm charts.  Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions
