Gigamon is seeking a self-motivated experienced Sr. Staff QA Engineer for a full-time position. This position requires a strategic thinker; a problem solver who is a self-starter and self-motivated; well organized, flexible, and effective with multiple simultaneous tasks What you’ll do: Understanding the feature requirement and preparing the test strategy document.Preparing the test plan based on the feature requirements.Develop automation scripts for the feature.Part of the Agile team and help the team to meet the quality goals.   Review product documentation and provide feedback to Technical PublicationsField escalations; working with support and development in troubleshooting and reproducing field reported escalation issuesLearn from customer bugs and fill test coverage gaps.Bug creation, reproductions, and daily managementTest project lead on occasion What you’ve done: 12+ years of hands-on QA testing experience including:Creating, implementing and reviewing manual/automated test cases and test suitesGood hands-on experience in automating using python.Experience with test case management tools such as Mercury Center, TestLink, etc….Working knowledge in TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, L4 – L7 protocolsKnowledge of and/or experience with security and Mobility a plusStrong network configuration and troubleshooting skillsMust be familiar with packet capture tools such as Wireshark, SnifferPro and are able to read/understand the captureScripting experience a plus; Python (Mandatory), TCL, Perl, Expect, Who you are: Experience with network testing equipment such as IXIA and SpirentExperience with bug tracking systems such as; Bugzilla, Jira, etc…Excellent verbal and written communications skillsProject/Test lead experience a plusMentor junior QA engineers in the QA process and technology#LI-UM1
