What you will do Strategic Development: Collaborate with top-level officials to develop and write narratives on emerging security trends for the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Program Planning: Engage with operations and technical stakeholders to develop and resource programs in response to strategic plans and evolving requirements Leadership: Lead strategic meetings and play a pivotal role in all aspects of the Department of Defense's Future Year Defense Planning (FYDP) Data Analysis: Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on budgets, creating impactful data presentations to highlight under-funded mission areas Documentation: Assist in the annual Environmental Assessment of the agency and consolidate opinions and survey data into comprehensive summaries Guidance: Work directly with stakeholders to develop, solicit, and edit concise “1-pagers” describing emerging security trends What you need to have Experience: BA/BS degree with 10-12 years of experience, or equivalent experience Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS-SCI clearance with a polygraph Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the Department of Defense strategic plans and priorities, and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process (IPBS experience is also acceptable) Skills: Proficient in translating strategic plans into actionable plans, developing Congressional Budget Justification Book entries/narratives, and using Excel for data analysis (pivot tables, graphs, etc.) Insight: Understanding of analytic processes and approaches to identify program and resource dependencies, and the interaction of program build process, performance management, and expected outcomes Budget Understanding: Comprehensive understanding of how agency budgets are developed and monitored What we'd like you to have Readiness & Performance Management: Experience with readiness, performance management, and other strategic planning activities Data Savvy: Strong qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills About BigBear.ai BigBear.ai is a leading provider of AI-powered decision intelligence solutions for national security, supply chain management, and digital identity.
