The Production Chemical and Services Business is seeking a highly skilled and commercially focused Senior Strategic Program Manager to join our team. This role requires a multifaceted individual who excels in engaging with customers both externally and internally, with a strong ability to combine technical expertise with strategic commercial competence. The ideal candidate will be leading key projects and programs, completing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), forming core account strategies, and developing commercial strategies to drive business growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management: Lead sophisticated projects by coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risks, and tracking milestones to ensure timely delivery and adherence to company standards.Enterprise RFP’s: Lead the completion of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring timely and high-quality submissions that meet client requirements and positions the business to win the RFPs.Gemba Walks and Customer Engagement: Plan and implement Gemba Walks by coordinating schedules with customers, reviewing supply chain processes in advance, setting tailored agendas, conducting on-site observations and technical assessments to identify inefficiencies, and preparing detailed reports with actionable recommendations.Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans for key accounts, owning relationships with Core Account Managers and collaborating with sales, marketing, and product management teams to drive long-term growth.Preferred background/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).Demonstrated experience in project or program management, commercial strategy, or business development within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or chemical distribution sectors.Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving initiatives from planning to execution.Proven experience leading RFP processes, cross-functional projects, or strategic account managementAbility to develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with account goals and revenue targets.Familiarity with GMP, regulatory compliance, and supply chain operations in biopharmaStrong technical knowledge in supply chain processes, regulatory compliance, and standard methodologies.Experience with Power BI, CRM systems, KPI Development and dashboard reporting and performance tracking toolsPMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent preferred.Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence both internal teams and external stakeholders.Understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and bioproduction systems (upstream/downstream, single-use systems, etc.). Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to partners and clients.Travel: Ability to travel as needed to client sites or production facilities approximately 25% of the time.
