This position is based in our Irvine, California Corporate Headquarters with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule.

The role:
Manages activities related to sourcing, supplier selection, product delivery specifications, and quality. Develops and maintains working relationships with supply chain partners. Establishes Sourcing processes and procedures for the organization.

Evaluate technology needs and source essential technology solutions.

You will develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with the Ingram Micro’s organization, ensuring the delivery of top-tier solutions.

Collaborate with various departments to prioritize sourcing needs. Identify and evaluate supply sources, establish baseline costs, conduct market research, develop statements of work, and issue requests for proposals, quotations, or bids for items not covered by existing agreements.


What you bring to the role:

4-year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field).

10-year minimum functional experience including a minimum of 5 years position specific experience.

Leverage your extensive knowledge in mainframe, SaaS offerings, network solutions, storage, cloud and IT pro services to make informed decisions, managing a vendor spend of $400 million.

Recognized master in professional discipline within own business unit and across the company.

Collaborate with technology groups to develop long range sourcing and category plans based on organizational goals and priorities.

Drive the creation/communication of savings targets and initiatives to across various stakeholders and organizational executives.

Implements strategic goals.

Establishes operational plans for job area.

Develops and implements new products, processes, standards or operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results.

Significantly improves on existing process and practices.

Applies a broad perspective to provide innovative solutions to a variety of complex issues.

Novel solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with business area objectives.

Internally recognized technical or business contributor.

Integrates research and emerging technologies into company product platforms.

Incumbents charged with maintaining highest knowledge of relevant technologies, emerging business/ industry trends, competitive technical direction and product direction.

Extensive breadth and depth of knowledge arrived through exposure to emerging technical advancements or complex business situations.

Ability to make significant contributions to the company.

Additional knowledge an experience in Marketing, Travel and General professional services is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Analysis:

Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends.

Evaluate supplier capabilities, product offerings, and market positions to inform sourcing decisions.

Sourcing Strategy Development:

Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for technology products and services.

Collaborate with internal departments to understand their needs and ensure alignment with sourcing plans.

Supplier Selection & Negotiation:

Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.

Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery, and service agreements.

Contract Management:

Draft, review, and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Monitor contract performance and enforce terms to ensure suppliers meet their obligations.

Supplier Relationship Management:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure ongoing collaboration and performance improvement.

Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Cost Management & Reporting:

Monitor and manage technology sourcing budgets, ensuring cost-effective procurement.

Prepare and present reports on sourcing activities, savings, and supplier performance to senior management.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in technology sourcing.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $125,600.00 - $213,500.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
