Summary:

Vivint is looking for a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager to be responsible for managing component supplier costs, contracts, relationships, and roadmaps.

Primary Responsibilities:

Create and implement strategies for each category and supplierManage relationships with suppliers in strategic categoriesScript and lead negotiations with suppliers and internal partnersPlay a key role in the BOM decision for new products in collaboration with EngineeringGather market information on components (technology trend, supply, cost, etc.)Conduct Value Analysis Value Engineering on current productsIdentify room and obstacles for process improvements and create procedures to address the gapsPresent projects and initiatives to leadershipSupport Engineering builds on Supply Chain ExecutionTravel domestically and internationally for supplier visits

Required Skills, Experience, & Education:

Strong organizational and communication skillsA strategic mindsetA proven track record of negotiating continuous cost reductionsGoes above and beyond to do what’s needed independentlyTime managementSelf-awareness

Preferred Skills, Experience & Education:

Bachelor’s Degree, MBA PreferredExperience – 7 – 10 years in related fields with successful demonstration of resultsFamiliarity with the high-volume consumer electronics industry. An engineering background is helpful.An understanding of the end-to-end NPI processExperience with reviewing and negotiating supplier contractsAn international business background is strongly preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
