About this RoleThe Senior Structural Engineer for this position will be responsible for the development of structural design parameters and independently perform engineering analysis, calculations, and code interpretations as it pertains to the design of Energy Facilities.
What You'll DoEngineering
Steel structural analysis and design of equipment skids, platforms, pipe, and cable tray racks.Concrete structures including retaining walls and deep and shallow foundations for heavy loads, lightly loaded, and rotating equipment and piping arrangements including but not limited to, pumps, electrical stands, electrical buildings, rotating equipment, process equipment (separators, meter skids, etc.), manifold piping, and tanks.Demolition Plans, Rebar schedules, material take-off, and structural bill-of-materials
Deliverable / Project Management
Coordinate and communicate project-specific Structural deliverables with team members of all disciplines.Research, review, and design integration of Company Standards, Municipality Requirements, and Regulatory Codes as it pertains to project deliverables.Review of site-specific geotechnical reports for purposes of site development and foundation design.Perform independent QA/QC of drawing deliverables.Review other discipline deliverables to ensure Structural designs are properly executed and align with project objectives.Perform field related work to obtain design pertinent information as needed.Review and respond to project RFI’s throughout project-life.Review of detailed shop fabrication drawings or other third-party vendor drawings to ensure compatibility with intended Structural design. What You'll Bring Bachelors in EngineeringStructural Engineering, highly preferredProfessional Engineer (P.E.) LicenseLicensed in Texas, preferredMinimum 5+ years of experience in the midstream energy or petrochemical sector.Minimum 5+ years of experience in the following software/programs:Microsoft Office SuiteSAP, SAFE, and L-Pile Structural ProgramsPlant 3D Structure, CADWorxFamiliarity and experience in implementing the following codes/standards:NFPA 30, API 650, API 653, API RP 2350Title 49 CFR Parts 190-199, 40 CFR 112, 40 CFR 264ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8ACI 318, ASCE 7OSHAAISCIBCExtreme attention to detail, process orientation, and relentless focus on accuracy with a sense of urgency towards project objectives.Strong work ethic and ability to establish priorities among drawing deliverables.Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to work independently or with engineering and design team of other disciplines.Ability to react promptly and efficiently shift priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written as well as presentation skillsOnly candidates with U.S. Citizenship or current Permanent Residency status will be considered What You'll Get
