Sr Supervisor Facilities and Maintenance - Xylem/Evoqua The supervisor is responsible for working with plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks to the facility and plant equipment. Ideal candidate will have experience with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP), air manifolds and pump repair. Xylem does not provide visa sponsorship for this position Responsibilities: + Manage, review and schedule, maintenance and or repair work orders to facility owners + Follow all Company safety rules and regulations, promote safe work practices, recognize hazards and take appropriate corrective actions and support site EHS team and or programs + Respond promptly and effectively to all safety/risk-management-related issues at the property + Ensure all emergency, routine maintenance/repairs are carried out in a timely and professional manner. + Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure all service request are completed + Coordinate and schedule outside vendor services, as necessary, to support the site + Conduct regular inspection tours of buildings, interior common areas and the exterior of the property, equipment and surrounding grounds for deficiencies, potential safety, health, or code problems and necessary repairs. + Manage the maintenance spare parts and the tools inventory, determining which parts/tools to stock and their stock level and working directly with Plant Manager to maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies within budget. + Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. + Coordinates purchase of necessary supplies, equipment and services from appropriate sources and maintains proper inventory control + Escalate risks throughout the organization appropriately + Monitor and assess potential risks to facilities and maintenance. + Plan and coordinate projects related to facilities and maintenance + Work with cross functional teams to identify and solve facility issues Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent, and/or certification in facility management, trade school certification/formal apprenticeship or other relevant specialized training. + At least three years’ experience in building maintenance including heating, plumbing, electrical, and general repair and/or related construction trade education + Maintenance supervisor and people leadership experience + Knowledge of plumbing with harsh chemicals like hydrochloric acid (HAZMAT Experience) + Knowledge of plumbing and air manifolds. + Knowledge of pumps repair and maintenance + Hazardous waste facility maintenance + Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma experience + Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards + Management and working with outside contractors assuring quality results and authorizing billing for those services + Proven experience with bidding out work orders and project management Physical Requirements: + Capable to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. + Capable of climbing stairs. + Frequent bend, carrying, pushing and pulling + Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. + May work indoors and outdoors as needed and exposed to various climate changes + Enforce the wear of all PPE + Skilled computer user and database management *** **Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range.
