The Amazon Last Mile Supply Chain team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results to build and operate a worldwide Amazon last mile delivery network.
We are seeking a leader for an exciting opportunity to work in the last mile supply chain space oversee integration of new initiatives within the overall last mile delivery operations. In this role you will deal with ambiguity, identify problem statements and develop innovative solutions to improve Customer Experience, reduce cost and create a best in class home delivery network. We make complex problems fun working backwards from our customers!
The transportation network encompasses all of the operations required to deliver worldwide shipments from our fulfillment channels to our customers. This role entails innovation, thinking outside the box, and deep understanding of the business. You will work with multiple business and technical teams across the company to drive continuous improvement and enhance performance.
This role can be located in Nashville or Seattle.
Key job responsibilities
- Scope requirements and define plans to integrate new initiatives into existing operations
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to invent process designs to account for changing business strategies
- Develop deep understanding of transportation planning tools and processes
- Own and drive strategies to increase delivery capacity and efficiency
- Drive technology requirements to improve tools and processes
- Own business goals to optimize customer experience and cost.
A day in the life
o Ensure OP2 strategies are translated into operational plans for intra-year planning teams (understand where/when changes are planned and align planning teams to execute)
o Quarterly Guidance requirements planning – understand any changes to planning cycle requirements or timeline, represent LRP team. Ensure LL’s are implemented.
o Oversee adjustments aligned on in prior LRP publishes are captured in forthcoming publishes (EX: adjustments to dispatch, SPR inputs). Work with input owners to ensure necessary follow ups are completed.
o Conduct scenarios between planning cycles to offer solutions to constraints.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
