Sr. Supply Chain Support Business Partner, Engineering Capacity Planning, NASC Engineering
Engineering Capacity Planning within the NASC Engineering team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Supply Chain Manager to lead our supply chain optimization efforts. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for optimizing our build plans, as well as drive automation and retrofits to ensure our network capacity remains robust, updated, and fully utilized. This position will support the programmatic functions of the overall organization, providing insight into each pillar as we contribute to long-term build plans, material handling solutions, and the retrofitting of existing processes. You will be responsible for implementing mechanisms such as MBRs, QBRs, and program and project-level tracking mechanisms, and providing support to multiple L7 leaders.

Key job responsibilities
Build Plan Development: Collaborate with network planning and engineering teams to develop, refine, and optimize a comprehensive build plan that aligns with the organization's strategic goals and growth objectives.

Capacity Planning: Manage capacity planning efforts, ensuring that our network capacity is continuously evaluated and optimized to support our operations through peak and prime periods.

Automation and Retrofit Initiatives: Identify opportunities for automation and retrofit projects within the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, network planning, and other teams to ensure alignment and synergy in supply chain initiatives.

Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the network capacity and make data-driven decisions.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, developing contingency plans to minimize disruptions during peak, prime, and other critical events.

Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the organization, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.

A day in the life
As a Sr. Supply Chain Manager in the Engineering Capacity Planning team, your day starts by reviewing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics from the previous day to assess the effectiveness of the current build plans and identify any immediate issues that need attention. You then join a morning stand-up meeting with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and network planning, to sync on ongoing projects, address any roadblocks, and ensure alignment across initiatives.

You will have regular meetings with multiple L7 leaders to provide updates on the progress of various initiatives, discuss potential risks, and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions. Your role also requires you to establish and monitor performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize the supply chain and network capacity.
