Job Description

Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:

Design and implement engineering solutions for consumer facing mobile and digital products.Design and implement database applications to service Visa digital and product needs.Design and execute software testing in accordance with Visa software quality assurance processes analysis of product requirements in order to translate requirements into designs.Communicate and work with business and technology stakeholders across the enterprise to resolve customer issues.Work on technical evaluations of technologies and designs in order to build optimal solutions that leverage the IT infrastructure.Work with Agile scrum masters and program managers to deliver solutions in adherence with Visa software project management processes.Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

QualificationsEmployer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr. SW Engineer-related occupation.Java, REST, Spring, and JPAHTTP, XML, JSON, WS*, AXIS, and JERSEYTest Driven DevelopmentApache Tomcat and MavenSpringBoot, Spring MVC, Microservices architecture, and/or RESTful web servicesReact JS, HTML, and CSSExperience with API GatewayDocker and KubernetesAutomation tests using Selenium WebDriver.

Additional Information

Worksite: Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $102,300.00 to $158,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
