Senior Systems Engineer

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

As an Infrastructure Senior Systems Engineer - HPC , you will be responsible for the design, build , implementation and operations of infrastructure solutions for HPC (High Performance Computing) in Linux Domain.You will fix/troubleshoot and maintain the HPC Environment. Propose improvements to HPC Environment and deliverables as per business requirements.

 

Qualification, Skills & Experience:

Total experience of 8+ years with High Performance Computing environments on Linux systemsCluster management software and Job schedulers (SLURM, PBSPro etc)Hands on experience in Infiniband design and managementHands on experience in Clustered filesystems (GPFS, LutreFS , OCFS2, GFS2 etc)Hands own experience on File Storage Integrations (VAST, WakeIo, NetApp)Hands own experience on integrating SAN storage with LINUX Hands own experience on patching LINUX servers.Hands own experience on upgrading firmware for various components on Physical servers. Good experience in setting up GPU compute and drivers.Good experience on Network topologyGood experience in Public Cloud IaaS Service (AWS, GCP, Azure)Hands on experience in HPE ONEVIEW and  HW management.Plan, design and build solutions in the Linux domain and serve as highest level of technical escalation pointIn depth understanding on REDHAT and SLES with performance analysis and tuning capabilitiesAbility to design High Availability solutions and distributed systemsFamiliarity with different virtualization engines (preferred VMware) Experience in Linux patch management (SUSE Manager preferred)Experience in common script language(Bash, Python)Understanding of Cluster management tools like Xcat, Warewulf, HPCMU etcUnderstanding of monitoring tools like Icinga, Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus etcUnderstanding of config management tools like Ansible, Terraform, Saltstack.Ability to work on complex problem and handle multiple tasks & projects simultaneously.Good understanding on ITIL process on Incident/change/problem managementAbility to take up complex projects and collaborate with cross technology platform teams.Excellent communication and reporting skillsKnowledge of regulated systems and Infrastructure will be added advantage. Knowledge on containerization and container orchestration
