Sr. Systems Administrator

Summary:
Seeking a seasoned Systems Administrator with Top Secret clearance eligible for SCI, focusing on IT system engineering, sustainment, and documentation, with a strong security mindset.

Job Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship required. Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) and/or 5+ years of relevant experience as an IT systems administrator. Strong knowledge and experience with Windows Server and Linux systems (Red Hat) administration and configuration. Experience with network systems administration, including Active Directory, GPO management, and configuring network gear (Cisco products, switches, routers, wireless access points, USB, and firewalls). Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Shell Scripting. Knowledge of ESXi virtualization and VMware. DoDD 8140 (8570.1-M) IAT Level 3 certification or ability to complete within the first 6 months of employment (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP).

Preferred Skills:

Background understanding of cybersecurity principles, including system patching and compliance validation using DISA STIGs, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), and STIG Viewer. Military veteran with relevant IT and computer security experience. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (or Associate) is a plus. Experience with IT Security Engineering in support of systems development, interface, and/or architecture requirements. Knowledge of NIST 800-53, DoD 8500.01, 8510.01 series, and associated instructions governing Cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD IT. Experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), and STIG Viewer. Experience with vulnerability detection tools such as Nessus, WebInspect, AppDetective, Wireshark, Nmap. Experience with eMASS for information system Security Authorization and Continuous Monitoring workflows and reports. Desire to continuously improve technical performance through industry memberships, conferences, training, and independent study.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, build, configure, implement, and maintain IT network systems equipment and technologies. Provide Windows and Linux OS systems administration, including cybersecurity support for various classified systems. Configure and maintain information systems in compliance with security policies and standards. Initiate and complete Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages for enterprise architectures. Create and maintain Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages, System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), Security Controls Traceability Matrices (SCTMs), and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms). Conduct analysis and assessment of security control guidance, procedures, and templates for uniform RMF process implementation. Identify, contain, investigate, and report data spills, coordinating containment and device sanitization with affected locations. Provide technical oversight for classified system compliance and conduct self-assessments. Interface with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other clients to conduct security inspections, tests, and system reviews. Review commercial security patches and cybersecurity directives for applicability and impact on systems supporting DoD contracts. Support cybersecurity testing of client-based systems. Travel to local regional sites for on-premise network/system support and to attend meetings and training (less than 10% of time).

Pay Details: $56.00 to $75.00 per hour
