SR. SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (BAMCIT):

 

Bowhead seeks a Sr. Systems Administrator to support the Geographic Service Providers (GSP) Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) IT Support Services directorate located in San Antonio, TX. The Military Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) IT (Information Technology) division supports the continued management and administration of DHA systems, applications, networks, cybersecurity, and telecommunications services for the PEO MS/J-6 through contractor staff augmentation. The Sr. Systems Administrator is tasked with improving IT practices and mechanisms with consistent support to end users without degradation to local and DHA operations.

Responsibilities

 

Utilize the IT Service Management (ITSM) Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) v4, or latest version framework, to adequately provide end users consistent, available, and reliable IT servicesDemonstrate advanced knowledge and experience in the enterprise level design and deployment of technologies such as Windows Server Operating Systems (2016,2019, 2022), Storage Area Networks (SAN), VMware vSphere, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix XenServer, Internet Information Services (IIS), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services, and Microsoft Azure.Implement and sustain security solutions and requirements in a DOD environment such as DOD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Microsoft Group Policy, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Risk Management Framework (RMF), Splunk, Trellix Endpoint Security System (ESS).  Act as an on-site lead for all contractors in the branch as it pertains to these functions Qualifications BA/BS degree in Information Technology or relevant technical fieldTen (10) years of relevant IT experience with critical communication and military productions systems.Five (5) years of experience in a hospital supporting an environment with more than 100+ beds and military production networkCompTIA Security +, Assured Compliance and Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Microsoft Windows Server 2022 certified Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and VisioAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contactsStrong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

 

May be required to obtain:

 

Citrix Certified Advanced Administrator (CCAA)Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

 

Physical Demands:

 

Must be able to lift up to 25 poundsMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
