Job Title: Systems Administrator (NEI-26)
Location: Bethesda, MD
CyberData Technologies is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to provide comprehensive support in the configuration, operation, and optimization of integrated information systems. This role combines technical expertise and supervisory skills to ensure efficient system performance, resource utilization, and user accessibility.
Responsibilities:
+ Supervise and manage the daily configuration and operation of systems, including mainframe, mini, and client/server environments.
+ Ensure system optimization and efficient resource utilization through regular monitoring and adjustments.
+ Perform system capacity analysis and develop strategic plans for scaling and optimization.
+ Provide engineering support for the development, integration, and deployment of comprehensive information systems.
+ Address technical, organizational, and documentation components for seamless integration.
+ Identify existing operational challenges and propose solutions to improve system efficiency.
+ Collaborate with ITMB engineers to balance operational tasks and solutions engineering projects effectively.
+ Maintain focus on project timelines and customer requirements despite competing operational demands.
+ Plan and oversee assistance provided to users for accessing and utilizing business systems.
+ Deliver training and documentation to enhance user understanding and efficiency in system usage.
+ Track system performance metrics to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
+ Develop and maintain detailed system documentation, including capacity planning and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
+ Experience:
+ Extensive experience in systems administration across diverse environments (mainframe, mini, client/server).
+ Proven expertise in optimizing system operations and performing capacity planning.
+ Familiarity with balancing operational priorities and solution-focused engineering initiatives.
+ Technical Skills:
+ Advanced knowledge of system configuration, operation, and resource management.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing system issues.
+ Proficiency in system monitoring tools and capacity analysis methodologies.
+ Leadership Skills:
+ Ability to supervise daily activities and provide clear guidance to technical teams.
+ Experience in planning and managing user support efforts effectively.
+ Communication:
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement and documentation.
+ Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field or commensurate experience and education in systems administration.
Preferred Certifications:
+ Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
+ CompTIA Server+ or similar certifications relevant to system administration
