Position Description:
Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of systemcorrections
Skills Requirements:
The selected candidate will:
support to the Social Security Administration in the areas of analysis, design, and technical documentation of various applications under the direction of both SSA and LM Project Management.
apply extensive prior experience in systems analysis, systems design, UML based design for web applications and web services.
will gather and document detailed requirements, develop use cases, systems and user interfaces, and write related documentation.
be expected to follow instructions and respond to management and team direction quickly. This includes timely completing accurate weekly reports required by the customer, submitting Lockheed Martin time card daily, and completing all other Lockheed Martin training, compliance and development requirements.
communicate effectively and clearly, both verbally and in writing (including e-mail), in order to communicate issues, reports, and deliverables to SSA counterparts.
Required Skills:
-Proficient in performing as a technical lead for requirements development and documenting system specifications for consumption by system developers and testers
-Proficient in conducting business process and system analysis
-Proficient in defining system documentation requirements based on input from technical personnel and end users.
-Knowledge of creating and maintaining Data Flow Diagrams and developing Use Cases
-Strong communication and technical writing skills.
-Exposure to writing Technical White Papers and systems design documents.
-Database experience such as Oracle, DB2 and SQL.
-Communication skills to present ideas and concepts effectively; strong and proven problem solving.
-Self-managed with the ability to mentor others.
-Familiarity with project management frameworks.
-Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and CMMI Level 3 Methodologies
Desired Skills:
-Self starter, highly motivated individual, and a team player who adapts to a dynamic work environment.
-Ability to investigate/research issues, determines impact, and provide solutions.
-Familiar with Web Service technologies such as Apache Axis, SOAP and WSDL.
-Familiar with Rational Unified Process, CMM/CMMI.
-OOD/OOP foundation with experience in UML diagramming and design documentation.
-Experience in defining Web Service Requirements.
Must have either a BS (10 + years experience) or MS (9 + years experience) in Computer Science or equivalent. Experience can be a combination of either U.S. or overseas, part time or in college
