Job Requisition: Senior Systems Engineer

As a Senior Systems Engineer at GDIT, you will serve as an all-rounded resource capable of supporting enterprise-wide specialized Infrastructure Services projects. Your expertise will encompass a range of areas including MDM (Mobile Device Management), SecureDoc, Endpoint Security, ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management), Privilege Management, Desktop Authority, and PIV-I MFA (Personal Identity Verification-Interoperable Multi-Factor Authentication). Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of these infrastructure services, adhering to IT industry best practices, and leveraging technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Support: Provide technical expertise and support for enterprise-wide specialized Infrastructure Services projects, including but not limited to MDM, SecureDoc, Endpoint Security, ICAM, Privilege Management, Desktop Authority, and PIV-I MFA.Implementation and Maintenance: Lead or contribute to the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure services, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and security guidelines.Technical Consultation: Serve as a subject matter expert, offering guidance and recommendations to stakeholders on the design, implementation, and optimization of MDM, SecureDoc, Endpoint Security, ICAM, Privilege Management, Desktop Authority, and PIV-I MFA solutions.Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to infrastructure services, implementing timely and effective solutions to minimize disruptions and ensure system availability.Security and Compliance: Collaborate with security teams to ensure infrastructure services comply with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, implementing necessary controls and measures to mitigate risks.Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, and actively participate in knowledge sharing activities to disseminate expertise across the team.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., MCTS, MCSE, etc.) are highly desirable.10+ years of extensive experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role, with a proven track record of supporting enterprise-level infrastructure projects in diverse technical environments.Strong technical expertise in MDM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE), SecureDoc, Endpoint Security (e.g., antivirus, anti-malware), ICAM solutions, Privilege Management tools, Desktop Authority, and PIV-I MFA.Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex infrastructure services, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and compliance requirements, particularly as they relate to infrastructure services and access management.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions under pressure.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in systems engineering and infrastructure services.

The likely salary range for this position is $103,700 - $140,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
