Title: Sr. Systems Engineer

Location: Onsite in Chantilly, VA

Citizenship/Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with an active

TS/SCI

Required. This position supports a government contract.



This position supports the Special Operations community to provide

SIGINT

collection and exploitation capabilities to the customer. As part of this team, the Sr System Engineers is needed to support sophisticated signals intelligence collection platforms.



The Senior Systems Engineer designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems. This includes the coordination of system development to include design, product/solution analysis, and integration to deliver a solution that meets current needs while maintaining flexibility for future changes.



SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



-Contributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects

-Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems

-Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology

-Coaches, provide guidance, and unblocks less-experienced professionals in their tasks

-Determine the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over time

-Works with the team to plan lab and field testing, integration activities, and pre-deployment operations

-May serve as a team or task lead



EDUCATION:



Master

s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.



QUALIFICATIONS:



-5+ years of related hardware development experience



Required Skills:



-Master

s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics

-Prior military experience in SIGINT, remote Sensing, or geolocation

-Prior engineering level experience with tactical military communications networks like Link-16, CDL, CEC, etc

-Strong experience building and working with software defined radios

-Strong understanding of DevSecOps and software/application development processes

-Experience with cryptographic algorithms

-Experience programming

Python

and

C++



-Experience programming GPUs for real-time systems

-Experience with utilizing CI/CD tools like

GitLab

, Jenkins, Nexus

-Experience coordinating and managing test activities

-Experience with deploying integrated solutions into military platforms

-Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems

-Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a small team



Desired



-Expeditionary SIGINT collection experience

-Experience with transportable or containerized (sea containers, not software

Docker etal) systems for expeditionary deployment

-Support to the Special Operations Community
