The Senior Systems Engineer is a critical role under Cloud Operations team responsible for architecting, deploying, maintaining, enhancing and supporting the hosting infrastructure for multiple Advantive products for its hosted and on-premise customers. This role focuses on optimizing cloud operations to drive cost efficiency, ensure high performance, and maintain scalability and reliability of the company's services. The position will work closely with the development, security and operations teams to automate processes, manage cloud resources, and ensure strict compliance with security standards. Key Responsibilities + Design, develop, deploy, and modify modular cloud-based systems in accordance with company security guidelines and best practices + Provide direction to junior staff members on cloud and systems design, architecture and implementation + Lead systems integrations for any acquired products by Advantive + Drive cost efficiency efforts to optimize cloud costs without impacting systems performance + Implement and maintain automated tools for monitoring + Define and maintain specific performance metrics + Quantify and meet scalability goals + Increase automation coverage of deployment processes + Drive and support opportunities for process improvement, re-engineering, and automation in cloud, and employ practices intended to improve customer satisfaction and retention + Achieve and maintain compliance with specific ISO and security standards Competencies + Attention to detail: Involves a meticulous approach to work, prioritizing accuracy and thoroughness to ensure high-quality outcomes + Extreme ownership: Encapsulates taking full responsibility for one’s actions and their outcomes, emphasizing accountability and learning from experiences + Risk assessment: Conducts thorough risk assessments to safeguard organizational interests. + Disaster recovery: Implements disaster recovery plans to ensure operational continuity. + Cloud / SaaS: Manages Cloud and SaaS solutions to enhance service delivery and business flexibility.
