The Sr. Systems Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of our rapidly growing systems infrastructure. You will be part of a talented team of engineers and administrators that demonstrate technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security to our fully virtualized on-premises private cloud. We are looking for candidates that have extensive experience in VMware, Citrix, SAN Architecture, Microsoft Server/Active Directory, Blade Center and Azure Cloud Services.

We are ideally seeking a candidate that can come on-site to our Manchester, CT HQ 1-2 days a week (hybrid role). For the right candidate we could potentially consider more remote.

 Job Responsibilities

Responsible for VMware VSphere 6/7 environment, ESX host setup, VM rollouts, troubleshooting, maintenance, etc.Maintains hands-on experience with Blade Server Setup, installation, and troubleshootingRecommend, design and implement new technology for the CompanyMaintains thorough knowledge of computer system performance tuningEnsures smooth day-to-day operationsEstablishes and maintains related technical standards and proceduresCollects, monitors, and analyzes systems performance dataEffectively troubleshoots Windows, Linux and other company approved operating systems and applicationsAbility to perform all requirements of the company Windows Systems Administrator position

 
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience5+ years direct experience with VMware VSphere (versions 6 and 7) environmentsExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Server Products and Applications, MS Group Policies, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure Cloud Services, Microsoft 365, DNS, DHCP, etc.Experience directly troubleshooting Windows, Linux and other approved operating systems and applicationsUnderstanding of Windows systems administration functionalityExcellent communication skills – both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Core InfrastructureMicrosoft Certified Azure Solutions ArchitectVMware Certified ProfessionalExperience with current-gen Blade Server setup, installation, configuration and troubleshootingExperience with Equallogic and/or Compellent SANsKnowledge of computer system performance tuningExperience with SQL, Exchange, Linux, Citrix

Expected Base Pay Not Including Potential Commissions, Incentive, Bonus, etc. Opportunities:

100-140k base salary
