Sr. Talent & Development Specialist

The Talent & Development Specialist will partner with Marmon’s VP of Talent & Development and leaders within Marmon’s various groups, business units, and global HR teams to support the implementation of enterprise-wide talent initiatives relating to learning, development, training, assignment management, and succession planning.

This position will support key HR Talent and Development deliverables including the succession planning & talent review processes and the assessment & design of leadership development programs, resources, and initiatives to aid in developing current and new leaders. This individual will also coordinate core tasks within larger initiatives, including management of the data collection process and design of the senior leader talent review templates, as well as provide ongoing tracking, reporting, and overall program management expertise.

Drivers for success in this role will be identifying key talent, tracking and monitoring succession planning activities, and fostering professional development of leaders as they advance their careers at Marmon, thereby increasing leadership effectiveness and efficiency by cultivating the natural talents of each employee.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:


Succession Planning

Support the VP, Talent & Development in executing the strategy for Senior Leadership Team (SLT) talent reviews and succession planning, partnering closely with the CHRO’s direct reports and external vendor partner(s) to create a clear approach to the overall talent review and development processBuild a repeatable succession planning and talent review process and train key Global HR Leaders, HRIS Analysts, and other stakeholders on the processTrack individual growth plans and actions for high potential and key talent across a 2-deep population and partner with Group HR leaders to ensure meaningful development plans are designed, created, and executed for the succession candidates; track growth plan progress through KPI’s and metrics to assess current readiness of leaders to advance to the next levelPartner with the VP, Talent & Development and outside vendor partner(s) to create the talent review data, collateral, and materials for the SLT succession planning process, including the collection, validation, and preparation for enterprise-level succession planning meetingsServe as Marmon’s system administrator for talent development data and processes in Workday; upload, validate, and maintaining data generated from SLT meetingsProvide program management support by managing deliverables, meeting cadences, and operating rhythms for the Enterprise Talent Council, comprised of Group and Corporate HR leaders, to improve visibility & coordination of talent mobility and assignment management across MarmonPartner with the VP, Talent & Development to design & create best practice approach for leadership assessments; ensure leadership expectations and competencies are integrated in all current and future assessment tools and cascaded throughout the organizationMeasure, and report SLT succession pool data, metrics, and talent scorecards to track internal movement and diversity representationMaintain relationships with vendor partners and deliverables from strategic consultants supporting Marmon’s overall talent and development strategy

Leadership Development

Assess the HiPo and Enterprise HiPo talent development programs at the Group levels to determine the optimal approach for Marmon’s leadershipAssist the evaluation and recommendation of the 2025-2026 leadership development approach to support SLT succession planning and broader talent objectivesMaintain and track Key Stakeholder Reviews (KRS’s), qualitative 360’s, and external assessments for senior leaders across Marmon.Partner with the VP, Talent & Development to update leadership learning paths with resources & links and cascade to key stakeholders

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field of study required; Master’s degree preferred3-5 years of experience in talent management, organizational development and/or leadership development; experience working in a decentralized or matrixed organizational structure preferredAt least 2 years of experience with HRIS systems and data analytics; previous Workday experience strongly desiredData warehouse (i.e., Power BI) experience recommendedStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Outlook, Excel, and Teams) and Adobe ConnectAdept at project management and change management planning, tools and terminologyStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work across leadership levels throughout the organizationAbility to navigate and manage through complex matrix structures and processes to build simplified recommendations and requirements (VUCA)
