Sr. Tax Analyst

Job Summary:

The Sr. Tax Analyst position plays an important role in the tax department of this fast-growing, multinational technology company. The position will prepare and assist with the Company’s tax compliance and planning process. The candidate will possess the required compliance skills, a strong desire to learn and be able to adapt to new challenges in support of the Company’s worldwide growth.  In this role, the candidate will have the opportunity to grow their expertise and enjoy the added value of working cross functionally both within and outside of the global Finance organization.   

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist in the federal, state, and international corporate income tax compliance process including preparation of supporting schedules and collaborating with third party providers;  Prepare federal and state quarterly estimated income and franchise tax payments and extensions; Participate in the preparation of the Company’s annual and quarterly consolidated income tax provision; Involve in the planning and forecast of the Company’s annual effective tax rate; Participate in various tax planning projects; Assist in the management of the indirect tax reporting; Support with tax audits including gathering information and documenting responses to information requests;  Perform tax research, monitor legislative changes and assist with analysis of the related impact; Assist with process improvement projects using technology to automate and streamline our tax reporting and compliance process; Assist in maintenance of tax related policies, procedures and internal controls as it relates to the Company’s compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404;   Perform other duties or special projects as assigned

 

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience: 

Minimum Qualifications:

2-5 years of related corporate tax experience in a major public accounting firm and/or industry; Exposure to ASC 740 a plus; Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and hands-on; Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; Have strong analytical, research, and problem solving skills

 Identify the knowledge and abilities required to perform the job duties competently.

Compensation: The anticipated range for this position is $95,000 to $120,000.  Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.

Education:  A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related major is required.  A CPA license or Master’s Degree in Tax is highly preferred.

 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking.  Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.  May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.  Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
