As a key member of Marmon’s Corporate Tax team, the Senior Tax Analyst will primarily focus on Federal income tax while also gaining exposure to both state and international tax compliance. The Senior Tax Analyst will support financial reporting activities, perform tax research, and assist with analyzing & advising for various tax transactions across Marmon’s 11 groups and 140+ business units. The Senior Tax Analyst will also collaborate with Marmon’s internal Finance & Accounting teams, external consultants, and the Tax group at Berkshire Hathaway, our parent company. This position includes a hybrid (blend of in-office and remote) work schedule.What You’ll Do:
Compile and analyze business unit information to prepare complex U.S. federal income tax returnsAssist in the calculation of quarterly income tax provisions (including reporting to Berkshire Hathaway)Recognize tax issues requiring additional analysis, further researching issues as needed, and determining appropriate conclusionsDevelop working relationships with accounting personnel at Marmon’s 140+ business unitsContribute on various tax research & planning projectsPartner with Senior Tax Leadership to continually improve tax compliance processesAssist with due diligence and analyses for acquisition & reorganization transactionsPeer partner to Federal Tax team staffSupport student intern development#LI-Hybrid
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field of study4+ years of progressive corporate federal income tax experience gained either with a CPA firm or private sector employerCPA completion or in-process desired; Master’s degree in Tax also a plusDemonstrated knowledge of corporate federal income taxation (including consolidated return concepts)Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively collaborate with peers at Marmon’s corporate tax group and business unitsProficiency with all Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)Experience working with OneSource Tax Provision Software and/or OneStream Financial Reporting Software also a plusPay Range:
