What Product Test & Calibration contributes to Cardinal Health

Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Product Test & Calibration sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment.

Shift Details: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM CST

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions - dismantle, disassemble, repair, rebuild, clean, replace, and reassemble worn or defective parts and components; lubricate, clean, and make adjustments on various equipmentReport any machine malfunction that cannot be repaired to designated individual and recommend equipment modifications to achieve improved operationAdjust automatic and semi-automatic machines to produce quality parts – install, adjust, remove and replace various machine stations and components; adjust material feeder/delivery equipment and detection devices; regulate heat and several types of timing controls; start machine to test operation by producing parts for inspections; make readjustments until finished product meets quality standardsConsult with designated individual on electrical malfunctions or repairs for course of actionPrepare machine production and maintenance documentationMaintain certification to operate powered liftUse a variety of small hand tools and maintain them in good working orderAssist with operating machines as requiredComply with statutory responsibility under the national/federal regulations - take reasonable care of your own health, safety and welfare along with teammates that may be affected by your acts at workFollow established EH&S procedures and policies and encourage teammates to follow themParticipate in EH&S activities such as: root cause analysis, finding solutions, implementing improvements, inspections, and meetingsComplete and remain up to date on required EH&S trainingFollow all ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA and plant/corporate standards, policies, and proceduresObserve all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performedReport all safety incidents, hazards, and potential unsafe working conditionsWork overtime as requiredOther duties as assigned with or without accommodation


Qualifications:

2-4 years of experience, preferredHigh School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferredUnderstanding of FDA regulations surrounding the manufacturing of medical devices, and GMPs preferredExperience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools preferred

Anticipated hourly range: $24.80-$35.39 per hour
