Sr. Tech Portfolio Manager

GEICO is seeking a Senior Tech Portfolio Manager to join the Field Engineering team. Help drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission. 

 

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Engineering Operations, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our growing team's project management landscape. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment and can adapt quickly to meet the needs of our stakeholders. You will be pivotal in developing engaging and impactful project plans as we transform GEICO Tech and roll out new technologies to the business. You will shape and implement our internal project strategy, ensuring alignment and consistency across Field Engineering and the organization. 

  

Roles & Responsibilities 

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the development and execution of change plans for various Tech initiatives 

Develop comprehensive project management strategies and plans to support organizational initiatives and objectives 

Identify stakeholders and establish strong relationships to gain support and buy-in for proposed projects 

Create and execute project plans to ensure project is on schedule, within scope and budget 

Monitor and track the progress of initiatives, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure successful implementation 

Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of project efforts and track outcomes 

Analyze feedback and lessons learned from previous initiatives to continuously improve project management processes and practices 

Help identify and address project management related risks 

Collaborate with Change/Project Leads from different parts of the business and advocate for business areas’ needs and risks 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree 

At least 7 years' experience in Project management within a technology or a fast-paced environment 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Excellent presentation and facilitation skills 

Highly detail oriented and organized 

Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to build and nurture relationships across all levels of the organization 

Proven time and project management skills with experience managing projects spanning across multiple stakeholders

Ability to balance independent work with team collaboration to drive projects forward 

Ability to analyze data to inform project recommendations 

Certified in project management is a plus 


 

Annual Salary

$90,000.00 - $185,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
