Job Title: Technical BuyerJob Description Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Issuing a Request for Quotation • Placing Purchase Orders in accordance with company policies, procedures, and government regulations • Preparing and issuing POs (purchase orders) on complex or specialized parts to support production schedules and departmental requirements • Negotiating Cost Savings • Working collaboratively and negotiating with suppliers regarding new projects, supplies, and initiatives, and advising on the impact of changes on purchasing and production activities • Executing NDA and obtaining approvals • Submitting Sole/Single Source Justifications • Obtaining Anti-Lobbying Certificates signed • Obtaining Debarment Certificates signed prior to Order placement • Ensuring compliance with customer contracts, including U.S. government contracts, ensuring complete flow-down of customer contractual requirements, as well as complying with AS9100 policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and Purchase Order process • Issuing DO/DX Rated Orders appropriately on Purchase Order Agreements • Other duties as assigned by management Hard Skills + Proficiency in ERP systems + Extensive experience in procurement, particularly within a manufacturing or aerospace environment + Issuing Requests for Quotation (RFQs) + Negotiating cost savings + Placing Purchase Orders (POs) + Ensuring compliance with federal contract requirements + Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Soft Skills + Collaborative negotiation with suppliers + Advising on purchasing and production activities impact Job Type This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Chatsworth, California. Work Environment This individual will be working heavily with Planners, Engineering, and Quality.
