Title:
Sr. Technical Professional, Systems EngineeringKBR is seeking a Senior Technical Professional (Systems Engineering) to join our team. In this role, you will provide systems engineering support dedicated to the In Service IPT. This position supports the NAVAIR PMA-231 Advanced Hawkeye Command and Control platform office and will be based out of Patuxent River, MD.
Role and Responsibilities:
Participates in meetings and collect, complete, organize, and interpret technical data.
Provides engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical requirements. Makes recommendations and advises on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
Performs risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques.
Specific tasking will include but is not limited to:
Technical planning, systems engineering support across PMA-231 fielded systems spanning initial fielding of developed warfighting capabilities, production, and sustainment activities.
Horizontal and vertical integration and management of work across all applicable engineering departments, disciplines and specialties including Air Vehicle, Propulsion and Power, Avionics, Human Systems, Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), Interoperability and System Security Engineering.
Safety and Airworthiness product support including Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures (NATOPS), Naval Aviation Technical Information Product (NATIP), Engineering Data Requirements Agreement Plans (EDRAPs) and associated flight clearances.
Initiate and oversee root cause/corrective action (RCCA) and troubleshooting activities to solve system deficiencies discovered during production and fielded operations, including management of Engineering Investigations.
Support of Risk Management activities.
Support of Configuration management process and products including production Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Technical Directives (TDs).
Participation in program Reliability Sprint reviews and Reliability Control Boards (RCBs).
Daily interaction with the Fleet Support Team, Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic (CNAL) Type Commander (TYCOM) and fleet representatives to execute critical safety, reliability, and maintainability initiatives for all fielded aircraft.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering is required.
5 to 12 years of combined experience performing duties described in the assigned roles and responsibilities.
A current Secret level security clearance is required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.
Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Must have experience balancing priorities and working effectively in a fast-paced program office environment.
The selected candidate must be highly proficient Microsoft Office (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Project & Outlook).
Must be a self-starter.
Must be able to co-lead meetings and capture actions items and meeting minutes.
Contract Requirements (Allowable Substitution):
Associate’s degree plus nine (9) to sixteen (16) years additional work experience performing duties described in the assigned roles and responsibilities.
OR
Thirteen (13) to twenty (20) years additional work experience performing duties described in the assigned role and responsibilities description may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in Systems Engineering and Military aircraft sustainment.
Compensation: $110,000-$164,000 The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
