Sr. Technical Program Manager, PMO
Description As a Senior Technical Program Manager in the Program Management Office (PMO) of the Lab126, you will engage with an experienced team developing innovative consumer electronics products. The PMO team champions the Product Development Process (PDP), hosts training sessions and maintains tools and wikis related to new product introduction and program management. In this role, you will be responsible for managing tools that simplify processes and foster collaboration among internal stakeholders leading to improved efficiencies of the organization. You will influence technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions and make sure customer needs are addressed. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. Key job responsibilities • Define requirements and own roadmap for the tools and processes used during product development • Be the primary interface with the tool vendors to ensure any bugs are resolved, enhancements are implemented, etc. • Effectively negotiate and make smart trade-offs (e.g., time vs. effort vs. features), and drive appropriate schedules. • Provide access to internal users, set-up the workflow for new project creation, and train the internal users. • Manage the process for scheduling training courses including creating templates for presentations and maintaining the portal. • Coach presenters and guide them to create the right course material to ensure the content is well received by the global audience. • Schedule and host internal training courses. • Maintain confluence pages. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline. - 5+years’ work experience in the areas of product management, leadership development, engineering or related field. - 2+ years of experience in using data analytics tools. - Experience collaborating with a cross-functional teams on multiple programs and priorities simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications - Master’s degree from an accredited university in a related discipline. - Experience in and intimate understanding of Product Development Process and New Product Introduction (product launches). - Experience in implementing change management and continuous improvement processes across a global organization. - Experience with API design. - Experience taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment either working in a team or independently with limited guidance. - Good vision, process-oriented and strong problem-solving skills. - Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing internal stakeholders at all levels including senior management Director/VP-level). The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
