S4 Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Technical Writer to join the forefront of national defense technology at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Electromagnetic (EM) Effects Division. We're seeking talented individuals to support critical projects ensuring the operational capability of military forces and platforms. As part of our team, you'll provide technical and engineering support, risk analysis, and integrated logistics for a range of initiatives, from legacy systems to emerging technologies.\n

Responsibilities:\n\nResearch, prepare, write, and edit technical documents for publication, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with technical documentation guidelines and standards.\nGather, analyze, and compose technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.\nHandle classified documents, including marking, handling, and tracking in accordance with security protocols.\nUtilize experience with U.S. Navy\/Joint programs and the E3 engineering and technology environment to effectively communicate technical concepts.\nCompose technical documents such as user's manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports in accordance with established guidelines and standards.\nEdit documents to ensure grammatical correctness and consistency, and conduct research to ensure the use of proper technical terminology.\nGather, analyze, and compose meeting minutes and action items to accurately capture discussions and decisions.\n\n

Qualifications:\n\nEight (8) years of demonstrated experience in the research, preparation, writing, and\/or editing of technical documents for publication.\nExperience in gathering, analyzing, and composing technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences.\nProficiency in handling classified documents, including marking, handling, and tracking.\nDemonstrated experience with U.S. Navy\/Joint programs and familiarity with the E3 engineering and technology environment.\nAbility to compose various technical documents including user's manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.\nFamiliarity with technical documentation guidelines and standards.\nStrong editing skills with the ability to ensure grammatical correctness and consistency.\nProficiency in conducting research to ensure the use of proper technical terminology.\nExperience in gathering, analyzing, and composing meeting minutes and action items.\nSecret security clearance.\n\n
