**Position Purpose**
This position is in the Sullivan Park Operations Directorate, within the Laboratory Services Management & Engineering (LSME) Department. The primary function of the department is to provide support for R&D activities by providing professional services in project management, infrastructure engineering, and laboratory space management.
This position is responsible for support of critical facility infrastructure systems to include design oversight and installation, receivership of new systems, and operational monitoring and management with required on-call support. This is a technical individual contributor position with a focus on safes operation, reliability, and sustainability of laboratory infrastructure support equipment and processes.
A key function of this job requires a deep understanding of Maximo modules, such as Work Management, Asset Management, Inventory Management, Resource/Procurement Management and Scheduling. To perform this job successfully, a person will be mechanically and administratively inclined and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
**Requirements**
+ 5 years of experience in an engineering discipline with at least 2 years of experience with facility/infrastructure or process equipment
+ Proficiency with CMMS Maximo (or equivalent i.e. SAP, WIT, GCSS, etc.)
+ Demonstrated success in preventive maintenance strategies
+ Proficient in reading mechanical, electrical and HVAC ductwork drawings
+ Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical systems, such as industrial fan, metering pumps, gauges, gearboxes, and ultrasonic sensors
+ Possess working knowledge of KPI/PI Management and Program Logic Controller
+ Able to perform root cause analysis and present logical conclusions from diagnosis
+ Ability to pass a respiratory fit test
+ Ability to obtain a corporate credit card
**Desired**
+ Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, plumbing, logistic management or related field
+ Experience working safely with hazardous chemicals and gases
+ Knowledge of scrubbers, exhaust fans, dust collectors, pumps, wastewater neutralization, and soft water systems
+ Knowledge using the ordering systems such as People Soft and SAP
+ Knowledge maintaining parts inventory and accuracy within the Maximo CMMS
+ Proficient in developing job plans that are clear, complete, and aligned with safety and quality standards
+ Understanding of trades/crafts in maintenance setting
+ Analyze costs associated with procurement, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make data-driven purchasing decisions
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive safety program tailored to the assets assigned in Maximo
+ Support and assist in managing the department 5’s program to include the annual completion of all online training
+ Schedule and lead Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities in Maximo
+ Process and maintain document control files in accordance with DARM
+ Manage the environmental control regulatory reports per NYS DEC
+ Diagnose and repair issues related to Pollution Abatement equipment, such as leaks, blockages, or mechanical failures
+ Perform second level troubleshooting using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) device

The range for this position is $69,966.00 - $96,203.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
