Sr. Tooling Engineer


Job Description:

Summary: 

Responsible for providing the manufacturing area with the necessary tools and fixtures for product production. This role involves conducting prior analysis to ensure tool functionality, developing strategies to improve key performance indicators (KPIs), and coordinating the maintenance and inventory of tools and machinery.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and develop tools and dies using design software such as SolidWorks.Create and maintain detailed blueprints of tools and components.Apply knowledge of geometric tolerances to ensure the precision and functionality of designed tools.Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure tools meet required standards.Manage tooling design projects from conceptualization to implementation.Conduct analysis and testing of tools to ensure performance and durability.Document and maintain accurate records of tool designs and modifications.Manage tool inventory and coordinate maintenance and repair

Job Requirements:

Education/Experience/Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in tool and die design.Proficiency in SolidWorks and other CAD design tools.Deep understanding of geometric tolerances and their application in design.Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.At least 5 years of experience in tooling.Bilingual (English and Spanish).

Preferred Requirements:

Lean or continuous improvement background.Prior working experience in healthcare/device or manufacturing/distribution industry.Prior experience as designerKnowledge on SolidworksNice to have prior experience as process or manufacturing engineer
