Position Overview
This role is responsible for analyzing, developing, deploying and administering total rewards policies and procedures in North America, with specialization in Canadian benefits. The objective of this position is to drive competitive programs that retain and motivate qualified employees, while ensuring internal and external equity. This role will be responsible for managing regional compensation programs across North America, along with Canadian benefit and retirement plans.
Key Responsibilities
Compile, submit and analyze survey information for the US & Canada to obtain comparisons of salary and benefits activities of other companies in order to assess the Company’s relative competitive position and build salary structures in collaboration with the Regional Total Rewards Manager Administer and analyze annual salary and benefits programs, focused mainly on the hourly population, such as the short-term incentive programs and annual salary reviews to ensure the accurate and timely payment of rewards to employees while increasing people and management knowledge of the programs. Prepare and deploy Total Rewards communication and marketing plans to drive engagement and awareness across the leadership and employee population Build and maintain the job evaluation database to ensure accurate comparative information is available at all times. Ensure job description quality to provide an accurate basis for job evaluation & maintain a complete file of job descriptions. Review and recommend salaries and job titles for new employees, promotions and salary adjustments ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness when appropriate. Continuously optimize Benefits (retirement, group life insurance, healthcare, & others) in the region. Day-to-day contact with the vendors and other partners involved in our Total Rewards programs. Manage service level, initiatives and projects in this area. Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders across functions Support HR managers in their communication with managers about C&B Develop external C&B external network to leverage expertise and understanding of competitors. Work with the global team to support and manage global total rewards initiatives that have local impact Lead ad hoc project initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other relevant field 6+ years of experience within the compensation & benefits area Strong written and verbal communication skills Deep excel/technical skills in the area of compensation and data management Able to build and maintain trusting relationships with direct and indirec teams Strong analytical skills CCP or CEBS strongly preferred
